is Isabel's Chinese name. Our little girl finally got milk today. We hope her jaundice will go away soon. She is working hard providing 24 hours of entertainment for Ting and me.

This post ends the daily blog for our little baby. Ting and I want to thank all of our friends and family for visiting the blog everyday. Isabel wants to thank those people that got presents for her. She has enough to keep her clean, warm, and busy for a long time. This blog was a great success, it greatly cut down the daily calls from anxious family and friends. We will save this blog and show it to Isabel when she's older. Please feel free to post a comment for Isabel or us (remember to enter your name).

I will update this blog monthly now for those that want to see Isabel's progress.

Home at last!

The whole family is finally home. Isabel is apparently a night person. She'd sleep through most of the day and then wreak havoc at night. Our daughter is quite moody because there is still no milk to drink. Nevertheless, we enjoy every second we spend with her.

We are still shocked ourselves that Ting had a 9 lb. baby inside her. She gained a total of 13 lbs. throughout her pregnancy! Isabel is down to 8 lb. 6 oz. at the time of discharge; it's normal for babies to lose weight the first few days after birth. We're all hoping she'll get her milk soon.

Ting and Isabel are doing fine after a rough day yesterday. Both should be discharged from the hospital Friday afternoon. Here are some more pictures from yesterday.

Isabel Arrives!

Hello World!

Isabel is finally here. She came into this world at 5:17PM and weighed a whopping 9 pounds! The labor started out very smoothly. Ting started with pitocin at around 7am and was fully dilated by early afternoon. The pushing got a little difficult since the baby was so big.


But mom and child are healthy and recovering.

Hospital Bound

Ting has been checked into the hospital and will be induced one day ahead of schedule. Isabel was less active today than usual and Ting went to the doctor to get it checked out. Everything seemed fine and Ting will be induced early just as a precautionary measure.

7 Tours for Lance, 0 Babies for Us

Lance got his 7th win in the Tour de France. Meanwhile, Isabel's due date came and is almost gone with no news. It's back to work for me tomorrow.

We finally took a roadtrip to Northern Virginia to relieve Ting from her week of boredom. A long lunch and some shopping provided temporary distraction from Isabel.

My hunt for a surround sound receiver continues after missing Myer-Emco's clearance sale last week for the Yamaha RX-V750. I'm still bitter about that. Bye bye Yamaha.

No Cigar

Ting had her weekly check-up today. She's only 2 cm dilated. We have scheduled an induction for the 28th of July. Izzy sure isn't in a hurry to come out.

Ting finally had her first contraction today. Isabel might just make the due date Sunday. In the meantime, here are some pics.
